I was born at Yamaguchi pref, raised at Tokyo and Saitama. majored in law at college, far from a scientific type, therefore not good at machines and PCs and so on. My passion in my life is travel on my own, railroads, and English

一人旅

1985年のハワイへの新婚旅行が初めての海外旅行だった。もともと海外志向が強かったものの、1人で行く度胸がなかったが、1988年初めて韓国に1人で行って以来、日常の人間関係からしばし離れられる一人旅をこよなく愛し、世界を1人で歩くことがライフワークとなり、ネット上の名前を僭越ながら定冠詞をつけTHE LONELY TRAVELERとする。
In 1985. I went on a honeymoon to Hawaii - that was my first experience of travelling abroad.
Inherently, I was curious about foreign countries, but didn't have the courage to travel abroad on my own.
In 1988, I travelled to Korea on my own for the first time. Since then, travelling abroad on my own has become my passion, because I can escape from my daily grind. That is why I had the audacity enough to put a definite article to my name; namely THE LONELY TRAVELER

鉄道

子どもの頃は鉄道、特に鉄道模型が大好きだったが、高校の頃から
鉄道への関心から遠ざかる。しかし旅に出るといつも鉄道や駅の
写真を撮っていたので本質的に鉄道好きかも知れないが鉄道の専門
的なことはあまり分からないし、知りたいという願望もあまりなく、
ただ車窓から景色を眺めるのを愛する旅行好き人間といえます。
When I was a child, I loved trains, especially model trains, but in high school I lost interest in that.
In retrospect, whenever I travelled, I always took pictures of trains and railway stations. This made me aware that I was in fact, a train buff by nature. I just didn't have the expertise on rail-roads nor the desire to realise that. I just love to enjoy the different scenery's from sitting at the window of a train, and staring out.

英語

中学から英語は大好きだった。東後勝明NHKラジオ「英語会話」や文化放送「百万人の英語」をよく聞いていた。大学ではESSに入ったり、「時事英語研究」をテープとともに定期購読したりして勉強は続けていた。社会人になってからしばらく英語から離れていたが、３０代後半から再び始め、あちこちの大手の英会話スクールに通ったり、「ヒヤリングマラソン」をやったりして、英検や国連英検、TOEICの試験を受けまくる。最近は英語を勉強することより楽しみたい方向に変わり、NOVAに長く在籍し、ネイティブスピーカーや日本人のいろいろな生徒との会話を楽しむ。NOVA倒産後は時間的負担の多い通学はせず、インターネットの英会話スクールで英会話をを楽しんでいる。
since junior high, I've loved learning English, used to listen to NHK's English conversation programs on radio.such as prof,Togo Katsuaki's
in college, I joined ESS, and subscribed to"the study of current English"with casset tapes . after college, I couldn't set aside time to study English until early 30's. but after late 30's I started to study it again, by attending English classes, or correspondence course, and took many exams such as STEP, TOEIC, UN English proficiency exam.
recently, I 've tend to enjoy speaking English rather than learning English. after NOVA went bankrupt, in stead of attending classes, I joined English programs on line and enjoy speaking English.
